So tell us, already. I'm dying to know... I can't quite read that writing, but it looks like it says The Killers...? I haven't seen any of the myriad films with that title.

    The Killers...
This is a picture of Clu Gulager from the film THE KILLERS (1964) and he plays the sidekick hitman to Lee Marvin. Both are the main inspiration to the outfits worn in two Tarantino films, essentially the hitmen characters in PULP FICTION (played by Samual L and Travolta) as well as the RESERVOIR DOGS gang.

If you have NOT seen the 1964 version of THE KILLERS based on Ernest Hemingway you must!!! If for no other reason than to see Ronald Reagan as a pimp.

Can you elaborate on the Hemingway connection? Thanks.

The 1964 Version of THE KILLERS is a remake of the 1946 film of the same title. Both are based on a short story by Ernest Hemingway, I believe it was called THE MATADORS from 1927.

Thanks. I've read all of Papa's novels but I'm not very familiar with his short stories.

After a quick Wikipedia search...the short story is also called The Killers.

    Cheers!
