Affleck Was the BOMB In PHANTOMS!!
Just in case anyone was looking to go to the movies this weekend, Gone, Baby Gone is a wonderful movie. One of the best of the year with a well deserved 93% rating on rottentomatoes. It is a gut wrenching movie that is at times hard to watch. The only reason Affleck shouldn't be a contender for Best Director come Oscar time is because this is his debut. If this is what he does for his debut, he's going to be legend as a director, and there will be plenty of more opportunities for statues. The Departed is a natural film to compare this to, and The Departed does not fair well. Affleck makes Scorsese look even more hacky.

    Gigli is now officially forgiven.

Heard an interview on NPR with Ben's brother about the film. It sounds very 'authentic" and I am looking forward to seeing. Thanks for the recomendation.

Yeah, Casey Affleck finally proves he is no lightweight either. He holds his own in his scenes with Ed Harris who give yet another benchmark performance.

Sure good is good, but that doesn't automatically put him up there with the greatest filmmakers of all time. I'm not hating, just simply statin'.
