5 best horror films that flopped
These are the movies that flopped at box office. And I agree with couple of films on this list from MSN:

    Not in any particular order:

Wes Craven's New Nightmare (1994): This movie does something astonishing: it makes us fear and hate Fred Kruger for perhaps the first time.

Event Horizon(1997): The horrifying imagery, meant to antagonize the boarders with their darkest fears and most guilt-ridden moments, creates a genuine sense of discomforting dread.

Frailty(2001): This emotionally-wrenchin<wbr>g and uncommonly disturbing chiller comes from director Bill Paxton, who stars as a normal single father of two young boys.

The Mist (2007):A Stephen King adaptation, its insanely grim spine-tingler that explicitly condemns human paranoia and religious-fueled mania,

Saw VI(2007): The sixth "Saw" film inexplicably turned out to be the best entry in the long-running series, but it ended up as the lowest-grossing film in the seven-film franchise.

I've only seen the Mist and Event Horizon, I thought they were bad movies that should flop. They should have stopped with the first Elm Street movie, it was good.

My picks are the original Alien, The Kurt Russel remake of the Thing, and the Shinning.

Well I can think of more deserving movies to be on that list, House of 100 corpses comes to mind.

For it's day I think Alien was pretty big, and The Shining is like a cultural classic, are you kidding, so many lines in that movie became catch phrases.....

    Unworthy
I think some of you missed the "that flopped" part. I have to heartily agree with Frailty, it was a great film that most people never saw. I thought The Mist was OK, but Event Horizon was a huge disappointment for me. The first Saw was enough for me, never watched another one.
