Recently acquired pioneer plasma

I recently acquired a Pioneer PDP 424mv 42 inch plasma. The salesman sold it to me on its DVI capabilities. I actually was looking for HMDI capability but never the less I brought the plasma display. I learned to my dismay that it was a DVI-PC not DVI-video. I never knew there was a difference and the salesman never explained that there are two formats.I heard that it could be recalibrated to accept DVI-video but Pioneer says no. I guess my option is to return it or possibly get a home theatre capable computer with DVI output to play my DVD movies. Can DVI-PC be recalibrated to play DVI-video?
