Onkyo DV-SP800 multi-format vs. DV-SP300

I am looking to replace an Onkyo DV-SP300 DVD player with a multi-format player. I want to stick with Onkyo but I have to say that the DV-SP300 is not of very high quality (the motor died shortly after I bought it so I had to send it back and the unit appears to be rather flimsy). I also want to be able to play SACDs.

So I am considering the Onkyo DV-SP800 and had some questions:

- What is the build quality?
- The reviewers say the video is excellent. Any other opinions on the video or the sound?
- The price hovers around $800 online, which is high. Are there better deals out there (preferably from reputable vendors)?
- Does anyone know if there is an 801 model on the way?
