CA 640C v2 vs. Arcam CD73T

Anyone heard the 640C v.2 against the 640C v.1? Is there really that much of a difference?

Also, any thoughts on the 640C v.2 vs the Arcam CD73T?

If the choice is only between the Arcam and the Cambridge my money would buy the Arcam (more trickle down technology from the higher models). Also the Cambridge is a great budget CDP.

The 640Cv2 is better than the v1 but not in a "night and day" sense as there wasn't really anything wrong with the v1. You should find it has better bass and a bit more space around the instruments. The v2 is technically superior to the CD73 but some are going to prefer the Arcam's slightly more laid back sound.
