Best (used) DAT player/recorder?

I have some DAT's I'd like to convert to CD, also wouldn't mind recording my analog to 48Khz. Suggestions on which model to buy for a home system (possibly might like to record in the field in the future, but not right now).

well for general use the best dat would be the panasonic sv-3700, sv-3800, or sv-4100. just be cautious of buying a used dat make sure you can test it first, or if buying off ebay get info on service and the amount of hours. the panasonics have proved themselves time and time again so i would never recommend anything other than that.
