I'd guess so, but I don't know anything about the rest of your setup, so it's hard to say.

They put out the bench results at some point, I remember seeing them on the forum. The TP put the Benchmark to shame; however I haven't heard one yet, myself.
The Slim Devices guys (who started the company and engineered the SB and TP products well before Logitech bought them) are very good engineers. They used to hang out on the forums all the time, engaging in tech talk and answering peoples' questions.
Haven't seen them around as much since the Logitech buyout. They must be out spending all their money now!
Seriously though, I really hope Logitech doesn't screw up that company.

Yes, I saw the SB many years ago at a show and thought it was neat. The Transporter is a pretty recent thing though. Not saying that it dosn't have a great DAC, but I just wanted to see the hard proof that it can perform like an audiophile grade DAC.

^Not that I'm aware of. I think Stereophile reviewed it, don't they sometimes bench test the products?

Stereophile benches ALL the equipment they review. I did find a couple reviews online, but no real test data.

The most recent edition reviewed the Transporter, and from what I heard, it tested extremely well.

Finally got my SB3 installed and working. I encountered some problems with my router. Called tech support, was greeted with friendly and helpful service, and the problem according to SlimDevices lies with my router not the sb3. I have a router lying around which I will try.
In terms of sound quality, I can't describe it using the jargon other people on this forum use. I can tell you just the simple and straightforward answer. This thing sound way better than directly streaming off the computer. I noticed and enjoyed Norah Jones' Sunrise much more than before. The bass is deeper and tighter and there seems to be a little less harshness in the upper spectrum.
Nonethless I have a question. I had heard someone mention before that FLAC can be streamed as FLAC or as PCM. First of all where is the option to change the streaming format and how do I change it.
I'm going to have to go back and rename all the FLAC files because before I was streaming it through windows media player where I needed the extra info as the embedded info wasn't showing. Now that I have the SB3, I don't need to all the info on the file.
Anyway I'd like to thank you guys a lot. This has been one of the best purchases I've made!

I'm not sure, but... why? Streaming as FLAC is by far the superior approach, since you'll end up sending only half as much info over your network.

Congrats. Now you'll have to start upgrading your components!!
That's precisely how I got hooked on this stuff...

Yeah I've already started eyeing my next purchase which is going to be either an integrated amp or a power amp. As I'm the kind of person who makes one purchase, but wants the best when i do make a purchase, I'm looking at some really IMHO high end amps. Right now I'm leaning towards the DK MKII which has had some nice reviews and I can buy used for a steal on audiogon for ~1400. If I were to go for the power amp option, I'd go for the classe amps because they're supposedly the top of the line with regard to B&Ws. However, this purchase will be WAYYY in the distant future.
I think it was either on this forum or the slimdevices forum where someone was complaining about not being impressed by the sound of the sb3 and someone indicated that streaming as PCM was a bit better.

Nope. Just feed it FLAC, and let it do its thing. No reason whatsoever to do anything else. You're good.
Now just think about upgrading the downstream components.
