Newbie to forum

I'm new to this forum but not to decent audio. Though I have been trying to up the ante on my listening experience lately.

Hi! Just joined. Was searching "ESS AMT 1" because I have two of these towers, and found this site with reviews of them. Wonderful to find raving reviews only a few years old for speakers that are over 30 years old. This inspires me to take my pair out of storage and refurbish them, including putting in new crossovers and caps - and of course I expect the existing woofers to be useless after 5 years of storage. Honestly I don't recall if they were working before I packed them up (to move). So I'm hoping to get help from this community to do just that!

I think you will be quite happy with your restored ESS speakers!
Good luck with the rehab - don't be intimidated if you need to put new surrounds on the woofers. With a little patience it is actually pretty easy to do.

Post some pics of them when you get them done!
