Hi guys, I was researching a home theater amp and found this site. I am considering buying a Yamaha dsp-a1 5.1 but since it is an older model I am having problems finding anything on it. Any help is appreciated. Love the site.

    Here is some info-

I don't know what you are going to pay for it but you may want to consider a newer receiver with more up to date processing and power.

Check out prices here, some gear is refurbished gear warranty-

Also check out local Pawn shops. I have seen great buys on high end Denon AVR's for $150.

Thanks for the info. The Yamaha I am looking at is $350. After reading the review and your comments I guess I better look around some more.

$350.00 or so could get a decent new receiver with current technology but entry level may not have all the bells & whistles of more expensive models, it all depends on your needs, what video sources, if wanting to stream, etc.

That Yamaha probably sounds great but if you are looking for the latest and greatest processing then get a new receiver.
