    Hi Rich,

Welcome to AR. Can you tell us a little about yourself? Are you a music or HT guy? What kinds of music do you like? How about movies? Tell us about your system. Does it make you happy? Any upgrades coming soon?

    Mike

Ok, Rich, can I start with an introduction since I'm new here?

let's see, umm, I am 36, dark hair, although now its starting to gray, of Italian ancestory. I have a Pioneer SX-1980 receiver which is hailed by many as one of the "holy grails" of monster receivers, capable of delivering a sonic earthquake of 270 WPC RMS of ultra clean power right now I have a pair of pretty neat, rare Marantz M10 speakers which are mirrored. They really sound incredible! Just let me know if I am coming on too strong for a newbie, heheh! My first system I had when I was 10 years old, my dad bought it for me. It was one of those jukebox style radio's that had a turntable, 8 track player, cassette player and AM/FM/SW tuner. On the lower front was a "smoked" light cover that had diferent color lights underneath that blinked in sync with the music, plus they were proportionally controlled with the volume blinking low & softly when volume was low and getting brighter and more intense when the volume was turned up. I don't know what hapened to it, but I sure do miss it. I have never seen anything like it my whole life. If I ever do, you can bet I will do anything it takes to buy it when I turned 16 I got my brothers SX-1250 and LS-408B Kenwoods. Currently the 1250 sits in the attic shrinkwrapped.

    Stay tuned........more to come

    Welcome Charlie...welcome Rich...
So, I broke into the palace
With a sponge and a rusty spanner
She said : "Eh, I know you, and you cannot sing"
I said : "That's nothing - you should hear me play piano"

My 1987 930 Turbo Porsche still smokes those pesky Trans Ams. I do stay away from new Z-51's. If I ever buy another Corvette it will be a Z-51. They smoke damn near everything!!!!!
