    Anyone use Belden speaker wire?

Anyone here using or have used Belden for speaker cable? Any complaints with it? I am considering getting the 12 ga. Belden 5000UE from bluejeanscable. At $0.38 per foot it is pretty cheap and seems like a good value for the money. It would be slightly cheaper to just get 12 ga. from home depot or Lowes but I am a little scared off by the reports of the copper corroding over time and I would prefer to avoid the issue altogether.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

Belden makes very good cabling. I cant vouch for the exact cable you are looking at but they do make nice cable. A little tip to help prevent corrosion is to tin the ends of the wire and then heat shrink so you cant actually see any copper coloring and you should be fine for many years

It was my impression that tinning the copper is ideal for transfer of signal to the binding posts....
