    surround speaker wire questions.

I will be adding three surround speakers (surround right and left, surround back) . Do the speaker wires of the three rear speakers need to be the same length? The longest length will probably be about 30 feet. Will a 14 gauge speaker wire work for this length, or would a 12 gauge be better?

    Thanks,

No, they don't have to be the same length. If you already have it, the 14 gauge will work fine but if you need to purchase it, I would rather use the 12 gauge, just for good luck. A little thicker can't hurt for a longish run.

As mark stated above. Instruments can measure the length differences, human ears have limits
