    Soldering tips?
I have a pair of Kimber woven cables. Each end has four seperate strands, which is a pain to connect into spring clips or binding posts. I was thinking of sodering them into as much of tight strand as I can.

Is this a good idea? Will it degrade the sound quality?

    Any help appreciated.

Sounds like a decent idea to me. I've soldered speaker cable before and have been happy with it. Are you pretty handy with a soldering iron?

Yeah, I modded my TT and got an education on soldering. I thought this might cure the problem with the frayed edges of the copper strands shedding every time I reconnect.

use very high quality solder, preferably silver solder, and use flux when available...

other than that, no, go ahead :)

Eno, it's called "tinning" and lots of people use that method. No issue at all.
