    Need insights from cable-gurus

Refreshingly informative cut-and-paste direct quote from an email sent by "neodymium metallurgist"

"When over skyscraper sweeps the floor, midwife for globule rejoices. For example, demon near movie theater indicates that prime minister inside organize related to salad dressing.Furthermore, support group for returns home, and wheelbarrow defined by toothpick plan an escape from inferiority complex for.
resistive appliance vanderpoel degum passive "

OK now, let's have some of our resident cable-gurus explain this Zen-like discourse on digital cables........

Someone who goes to such extremes as to fly above a skyscrapper, when all he is attempting to do is sweep the basement brings joy to the midwife who is in charge of protecting the small drop of liquid (globule) on the floor. The globule will escape notice of someone high over the building.

Likewise, someone who goes to the extreme of spending thousands of dollars on cables to accomplish the simple task of transfering energy from one component to another brings joy to those audiophiles who attempt to protect the myth that wires can affect sound. That myth is well protected from scrutiny by one who so foolishly spends absurd amounts for audio cables.

The demon near the theater may be merely conincidental to the fact that the prime minister is inside the theater, just as the perceived results of sighted audions may be coincidental to any actual performance difference between cables.

The prime minister in the meantime is inside the theater claiming that the complexity of cables is like the complexiity of "salad" - very difficult to quantify.

Nonetheless, with the proper support group, known as AR, a plan can be devised to bring crazed golden ears back to the reality of earth - back to their "home" where all is real. But it's tough to do - maybe the plan to do such is no stronger than a toothpick as it is difficult to pull vulnerable, insecure audiophiles away from the "comfort" they feel in their self-dilusions regarding the audible impact of different cables - for which they have paid dearly.

We must remember, a cable is a passive "appliance" the performance of which is governed primarily by it's resistence, and small gobules of resistence will have negligible effect on cable performance.

The term "vanderpoel degum" is a diversion included solely for the purpose of attempting to fool us. Spelled backwards it is "muged leoprednav", which is equally confusing.
