My ode to Cables

I like my cables; this I can not deny. They helped the sound of my system; this too is no lie. Try as you may to dismay, I will not bite. For I like my cables with all my might! So unto you disbelievers I say good night and keep up the futile fight; who knows, you may be right!

I’ve never seen as many fables
As those that are applied to cables.

Some see the differences as day and night.
And others say it's very slight.

And then some say there's none at all.
Have you ever seen such gall?

There once was a man named Bturk667
Whose gulibility is manna from heaven (for cable companies)
His faith is misplaced
Cables have no saving grace
His claims and couplets are less than proven
:D

Of all the opinions on sound
This is what I have found
Use your ears, not your brain
Although others disdain
that you've kept your feet on the ground.
How can you ignore what you hear
base your judgement on fear
of opinions of internet clowns?

But, I like my cables too :)

If there is one thing in audio that is stable
It is, a persons views on cable
Why we discuss it all the time
Is a mystery to me, in rhym
So decide for yourself what you believe
This fretted brain to relieve
Using your science or using your ear
you'll get no joy from this I fear
Not one convert will you get
On this poor subject our minds are set....

I dare to share because I care! If my experiences are a red herring then who am I scarring? You say dbt is the only way. I see it as a way for you and others to simply say nay! Dbt is the true red herring, there is no need for that kind of comparing! When I listen to music I do so with my ears; If I had to do it with my mind I would be in tears! Believe in cables or not, I'm still glad I gave them a shot! After all it is my money, so have a good weekend, and I hope it's sunny!

But this is a debate of which I tire
Do they make a diff or do they not?
Are yours much better than what I got?

It would be compelling if Audioquest
or Kimber did a double blind test
but they never shall, don't you see

Spending money on cables though is what some people desire
They say it can improve systems for both you and me
But I think some just suffer from cable envy !

liking your wires is no crime.
Without them, you cant make sound
so you need them pound for pound.

I don't have good wires, and maybe I'm cheap,
but the real fact is I dont have money to make that leap.
If it's makes you happy then that's cool,
because if it doesnt, spend more time at the pool.
