    Interconnect (80-160 dollars)
I have Sennheiser HD-600 headphones. I am going to buy a headphone amp (400 dollars, Corda HA-1 MKII) and need an interconnect cable to connect it to my Cyrus integrated amp (1300 dollars). I mainly listen to old Elvis records (concert recordings and such) so the sound quality of my recordings is not great.

    Chord Siren
    QED Qunex Silver Spiral
    Analysis Plus Oval One
    Cardas Crosslink

If you had to pick an interconnect me from this group, which one would you pick. I know that the best way of choosing a cable is to audition it, but I'm going to buy it online so that is not a possibility. I know I could go DIY or spend less money for an interconnect, but I really want a good cable so what are you going to do. Also, I know that there are great cables such as Blue Jeans or DiMarzio, but if you could just bare with me and pick a cable from the group above.

I would pick NON of them and go with Audioquest Diamonds....they will beat any of the ones you have listed at less the cost of some you have listed.

Are you sure Audioquest can beat Analysis Plus? I mean AP has won just about everyone's hearts including the folks at stereophiles. AP is raved for its price/performance-ration. I believe that QED and Cardas Crosslink do loose to AQ, but Chord and Analysis Plus... I don't know. It's a pity I am not able to audiotion the cables: I have buy the cable without actually hearing it first.

Yes in many cases we cant audition the cables first...we must go by reviews and what others say how cables sound in their systems....I never listened to AP in my system or any other but I have heard Cardas, Kimber, XLO, and many others...in my system and many others. I could not be happier with my AQ King Cobras IC's....nor with my AQ Gilbralter speaker cables. I had Kimber 8TC, HERO and Silver Streak in my system before...the AQ is better for my system....Dynaudio Audience 82's, Aragon 8008BB, Anthem Pre2L and Adcom CDP.

Cardas is pretty bad arse...but they are known for being extremly mild, sometimes all too laid back. Transparent makes great interconnects in the MusicLink/Wave and any of the supperior models. I have not heard the other models you listed. I would recommend checking the transparent cables out though. You will probably be impressed.

Many smaller cable companies give you a trial period so you can try out the cables in your system to see what sounds best to you. Some possibilities are:

    http://www.elementcable.com

    http://www.vhaudio.com

    http://www.rscables.com

    http://www.signalcable.com

The VH Audio Pulsars are the best I have tried, beating out cables costing up to $300.
