    Direct TV HDMI

    just had the HD installed the other day and i was wondering if the HDMI cable supplied with the DVR was decent. any need to replace it? the HD pics are very nice.

    HDMI is passing a digital signal - 1's and 0's. The reason that some cables could possibly make a difference is because they are transmitting an analog signal, already decoded. With a digital signal (DVI, HDMI, optical, dig. coax., IEEE 1394, USB, et. al) the cable just has to be good enough not to cut in and out. Once it's good enough, there is no "better".
