They also say that this stuff is a lot better than the Walker Audio super silver treatment stuff! I just ordered some Friday........Here's more on this stuff............ http://cls.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/cls....wek&1110725130

    Yeah...right...

    "Micro-arcing"?!?!?!?

I have to admit at least you get a nice little kit for your money, better than some of the other snalke oils out there, but I'm not sold by any means. In all my electrical engineering classes I never knew that an electrical current would forego the path of least resistance to bridge an air gap and "micro-arc" across it. This could revolutionize physics...water would flow uphill...your car would actually have more fuel the farther you drove it...fire would create objects...

...or maybe it's all a crock...but I guess if you'll pay $400 for a 6-foot power lead (even though the rest of the electric path from the transformer to the outlet is standard 12-2) you might be suckered in on this one too...

It's nice to know that you think you're getting your money's worth Just like when i thought my monster cable gave my subwoofer better sound. But then i realized i was wrong.

just one question...and correct me if I'm incorrect in my thinking:

Why would I want to spread a dialectric (i.e., something that impedes the flow of electricity) via the oil base, onto the contact points of my cables? Wouldn't that defeat the whole purpose?

The vegetable oil doesn't evaporate, right?

Please don't take this as a sarcastic wise-crack, but I'd like to understand the process a little better, just for s's and g's.

RPatrick you are obviously selling this crap!

Quit posting the exact same post to every A/V board you can find, you are obviously the seller of this garbage. You could have at least changed the replies, instead of posting the same thing word-for-word to every board.

Maybe if there were any scientific basis for the goop, or if the "theory" behind it didn't violate the laws of physics and electricity, you would have an easier time selling it. But I guess that's true with half the crap that sells for megabucks in the A/V world. It doesn't pass the smell test here though.

That's because the first post you made on this forum is about how great this stuff is (even though it defies physics). Usually, when someone joins a message forum, its to ask questions and get help about something, not to talk about how great something is. Secondly, even while trying to defend yourself, you're still trying to sell it. Come on, cut the crap.

Here's what am hearing so far on the audio part......first I put this stuff on all my wiring inside my components.....all my speaker drivers......all my crossover network parts.......speaker cables and all other cables too......I heard a deeper tighter bass without being boomy....the soundstage is a lot more 3-Dimensional........broader....deeper with very precise placement of voices and Instruments.....more air around the voices and Instruments too..........The midrange will amaze you the way it just Blossoms! The inner detail......transient clarity.......depth of image........texture......dynamics.....and life-size stage has to be experience to be believed!!! This QuickSilver opens a window into a new level of listening pleasure!!!

RPatrick you are a complete idiot!

Stop posting to this board until you have a scientific explanation for the mechanism of this obvious gimmick. No one wants to hear your completely unprovable and unmeasurable babble about "soundstage" and "air." These words are the trademark of hacks who cannot show any measurable improvement in their products so they use terms that are subjective.

Admit that you're selling the crap and post some evidence of what it does, or shut up and go post on some Monster Cable and Bose forum where you'll be received with open arms.

    Quit wasting our time.

All you naysayers need to let down your guard and just TRY some of this stuff. It really is incredible, and for all that it can do, it's at a bargain price, too.

When I first got my order, I applied it to my cables using a dab on my fingertip. After I wiped it off, I saw that a paper cut on my fingertip was COMPLETELY healed. But before I wiped it off, I attended to a severe case of jock itch and while scratching I ended up with a rock hard Mr. Stiffy who was almost twice the "man" he used to be. The jock itch disappeared, too.

I ran down to the local VA hospital and slapped a gob of QuickSilver on the stump of a man who lost his leg to a land mine. Right before my very eyes a new leg grew back and he started dancing around the room!

I jumped back in my car and was racing across town when a cop pulled me over. I flicked a dab of QuickSilver into his face to see what would happen. I must admit that I was a bit nervous when he walked back to his patrol car with my license, but he came back with 2 dozen donuts and gave me his thick wad of $20 bribes. And NO ticket!

I was pretty ecstatic, but when I went to drive away, I found one of my tires was flat. I didn't have a good spare, but with QuickSilver there was no problemo. I dabbed some around the spot where the nail was sticking out. The nail dissolved, the hole self-healed and the tire automatically re-inflated to the EXACT pressure as specified in the owner's manual!

Just for funsies, I flicked a bit of the stuff into my gas tank. As I pulled out on the road, my front-wheel drive '85 Yugo managed to pop a wheelie! I'm anxious to try it out on my suspension just before challenging a Ferrari to a road duel!

You may very well agree with me that this is truly miraculous stuff. Whatever the case, it's still hard to believe that while QuickSilver does so many marvelous things, it still can't manage to keep a Bose system from sounding like crap.

Okay RPatrick I'll shut up if you answer the following:

--Scope data for the "noise" generated by "micro-arcing" along with data for the same setup treated with your product.

--A discussion of why an electrical current would not follow the path of least resistance and would instead jump an air gap and arc. This is akin to water placed in a funnel not flowing out of the hole at the bottom, but instead spontaneously jumping out of the top of the funnel. It defies the laws of physics and electricity, and therefore invalidates the :theory" of micro-arcing. The only exception would be if you provided so much current that it overwhelmed the conductors (pouring so much water into the funnel that it overflows the top) , but in the A/V field that doesn't happen - maybe in an industrial arc welder...

--why is the product suspended in an insulating solution that has engineering properties that are in direct conflict with what the product is supposed to do

--any, and I mean any, numerical or scientific data that supports your claims, don't use all of the superfluous words from the website, I'm talking actual engineering data

--why we shouldn't just all use the deoxit, which is about the only useful item included in the kit (and parts express sells that for a whole lot less)

--any test data that is not completely influenced by placebo effect...if I applied it to one system and not to an identical system would you be able to identify which system was treated? when the kids at Best Buy try to sell Monster Cable to me I always tell them I'll buy it if they can tell me when the cables are inline in a system they have set up...never bought one yet...

Hehehe!!! Good one, I like the Mr. Stiffy comment. Let Mark Martin know, maybe Quicksilver will replace Viagra as his primary sponsor?

Haven't used the stuff , might, but haven't yet, regardless, I can't discount its effects without listening to it. All of the engineering measurements are unnecessary IMO. In the seventies, companies launched the THD wars, amps with .1% THD were worse than amps with .01% or .001% or .0001%. Most of those low THD amps sounded like crap. They did measure well but they sounded bad. Tube amps measure worse than SS but are subjectively, IMO, better at reproducing the gestalt of real music, they have other issues but poor sound isn't one of them. Many of the things we measure in audio have a very limited relationship to how a component sounds, to paraphrase Martin Colloms.

    oh no, not you too.
while you are in that state of mind, i have an interesting proposal:

First of all I am the Grand Prince Ayotolla of Nigeria.

I need to to transfer millions of dollars from Nigeria to the United States. All i need is your bank account, and i will give you a 5% portion of the millions of dollars i need to transfer as a token of my thanks.

Your help will be greatly appreciated.

    -Grand Prince.
