DIY Television Projector

I looked into it and I wanted to build a stand alone hd projector. I took his idea and modified it, then I priced how much it would cost and it was around $700-$800. You can get a 1500 lumen 1024x768 projector for $999 and would be half the size.

Also things that are not mentioned about that setup is the bulb in those overhead projectors have a very short lamp life somewhere around 50 hours.
Most overhead projectors that you can get cheap, do not have an area big enough for a 15" lcd panel.

Depending what you wanted to use the projector for you can get a real one from $400 - $10,000
