diy 4-way design, want to use 2 woofers

    Hi,

I want to build a pair of 8 ohm speakers with 2 woofers, 1 midrange, and 1 tweeter each. I have a 3-way crossover. I want to use 2 woofers connected together instead of one, so my woofers need to be 16 ohm to equal 8 ohm impedance. I can't find any 16 ohm woofers anywhere, looked on parts-express. I've seen 12 ohm woofers on parts-express (sold out at the moment), is that ok to use? Am I going about this wrong?

    Thanks.

you could use two 4 ohm in series and get 8 ohms out of it. what size woofer are you looking for there are plenty of 16 ohm woofers out there

You can either modify the crossover or use 4 x 8 ohm woofers in series-parallel configuartion.
