I auditioned some equipment yesterday and took a liking to a particular pair of bookshelf speakers made by Cyrus, the Cyrus CLS 50. I am having a hard time finding reviews or consumer reports on both the company and the speaker model. I was hoping someone was familar with one of the two and could lend there opinions or could point me to where I could find more information.

P.S. I posted about my audition and it's results on this thread as well, http://forums.audioreview.com/showthread.php?t=9722, but I received no replies.

Thank you.

Well, I did a google search and came up with this review (http://www.hifichoice.co.uk/review_print.asp?ID=1422) straight away.

Cyrus was at one time a division of Mission Electronics, whereas integrateds and cd players were sold under the Cyrus banner. In fact, my Mission 780a's were voiced with a Cyrus 50wpc integrated and Cyrus cd player. Mission stopped manufacturing front end electronics quite a while ago and instead concentrated on speaker design. I appears now that they have resurrected the Cyrus label to represent their entry level products as they move Mission upmarket with the Pilastro and Elegante lines. RGA mentioned that Wharfedale, Quad, and Mission are now owned by the same conglomerate, although I couldn't find any information stating such.

I wouldn't worry about other people's opinions if I were you. If they sound good to you, that's all that matters.

Hope this helps.
