Hey guys...

My parents just bought a house with a whole home audio system. 5 pairs of speakers in 5 different rooms. My dad wants to listen to the same source (cd player) at the same time in all of the rooms.
My question to you is...how would you power this setup.
Does any manufacturer make a 10 channel amp for say <2000?
Would i be able to buy two 5 channel amps, and hook them up to a stereo preamp?

I would greatly appreciate any advice!!! Thanks! :D

Audiosource makes compact single-channel modular amplifiers in several power ranges that fit into a rack-mount chassis. You just buy units equivalent to the number of channels you need and mount them in a chassis (in your dad's case, two chassis). Blank face plates are also sold to cover up unused spaces in any of the rack-mount chassis. Ten channels can be had for less than $2,000. The amplifiers and rack-mount chassis can be obtained from Parts Express (see the following links).
