New DLP Projector

I was in Ultimate Electronics, and they had the new Sharp DLP flagship front projector playing (don't know model #), but I was blown away by the picture. They were showing one of the Star Wars movies on about a 100" picture, and it looked better than film. I couldn't see any scan lines, even when I got closer. What makes this picture so good, do they have special line doublers. I have a newer Toshiba 50" 1080 HD CRT rear projection TV , I have used a set up disc for the picture settings, and even with the advantage of a smaller picture size, it doesn't come close. Is this a result of the source equipment (dvd player upconversion) or is it the projector itself.

Just wanted some perspective.
