I don't think that would cover just your HT lol, looks like something for a concert hall. thank God for radio shack and us smart ones that picked up the old analog meter for 39.99. have to look on Ebay or search radio shacks high and low to find one now days.

Well the great thing about instruments of this calibre, is that they can be used in concert halls, movie theaters, home theaters, clubs, stadiums, arenas, and any other sound driven environment. My entire calibrating system cost around this much, but it paid for itself in the first year I owned it. I cannot see the average HT enthusiast understanding how to use this, or it being particularly cost effective for them.

Actually, the Radio Shack analog SPL meter was reintroduced a few months ago after they went out of production middle part of last year. Here's the link for anyone who wants to order it.

Jamison,
I just purchased a pristine pair of Mach 1's off Ebay for $200. Got them setup, and there in the process of being broken in. The speakers themselves where in excellent condition, kinda looks like they have not been used that much. When you compare them to the Mach 1 with the 4029 part number, the differences are quite noticeable. The 4024A(the first made ones) the highs are more extended, clear, and so is the midrange. The bass however does not have the impact that the 4029 have(could be there not broken in yet). I have only had them a week, and they haven't been played in years, so it may take some time to loosen things up. They were a bit harsh when I first set them up(to be expected) but have steadily improved in sound quality since then. I kinda wish radio shack would reintroduce them myself!

I have both the old analog RadioShack meter and the newer LCD display meter. The new on works as well as the old.
