What's the best recommended speakers for music listening only?
A few questions:

What kind(s) of music do you listen to?
How large is your listening room?
What is your amplifier? Or do you intend to upgrade?
What is your budget for the speakers, or if you intend to upgrade several components, which ones and what's your total budget?
Do you intend to use the same speakers in a home theater system, now or eventually?

What's the best recommended speakers for music listening only? With these type off inane questions, which seem to typlify your contributions here, I am strongly tempted to consider you either a troll or a seriously attention deprived child.

READ, READ, READ.

LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN

Then pick the speaker YOUR EARS like. THERE IS NO BEST SPEAKER.

Now if you want some leads then look at these companies.

B&W
PSB
Monitor Audio
Paradigm
Audio Note
KEF
Mission
Totem
Acoustic Energy
Klipsch
Energy
Axiom
RBH
NHT
Martin Logan
Magnepan
Definitive Technology

I could go on forever here.

All the companies listed our well respected and offer great products. But its gonna come down to what your ears like. Audio is very subjective.

On another note try and include more info in your posts. Your questions are never more than a sentence or two and come off as being very vague.

What's the best speakers for listening music only for $200 or less.$200 is a difficult price point to find a good pair of speakers. It is more than the cheapest "bargain" speakers available but less than what it would cost for really good speakers. If you want to buy locally, you may want to consider the Athena AS-B2 (http://www.athenaspeakers.com/modelASB2.htm). If you are reasonably handy with tools, you may want to consider the Dayton BR-1 monitor kit (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=300-642) from Parts Express. Finally, if you value both beautiful cabinets and good sound, I would recommend the Rocket ELT LRS satellite (http://www.av123.com/products_product.php?section=stock&product=55.1) as a factory second in South American Rosewood.

Reviews of the Athena AS-B2 are here (http://www.audioreview.com/Main+Speaker/Athena+Technologies/PRD_130218_1594crx.aspx) and here (http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/1/3370.html). Reviews of the Rocket ELT LRS speakers are here (http://www.hometheatersound.com/equipment/rocket_elt.htm) and here (http://www.hometheaterhifi.com/volume_11_1/onix-rocket-elt-1-speakers-3-2004.html).

If you are willing to go with a subwoofer and satellites, another good option would be this Dayton 10" subwoofer (http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshowdetl.cfm?&DID=7&Partnumber=300-632) which is $124.88 from Parts Express mated with two of these NHT SuperZero Xu (http://ww2.onecall.com/PID_1107.htm) speakers which are on clearance at One Call for $62.50 each. Reviews of the NHT SuperZeros are here (http://www.audioreview.com/Bookshelf+Speakers/NHT/PRD_145139_4290crx.aspx) and here (http://stereophile.com/loudspeakerreviews/804/).

Keep your JBL's if thats all you can spend if not look at the Paradigm Atom 189.00. Also try picking up the phone book and find some audio shops in your area and go listen. Or go to the manufactures website and find a dealer close to you. Go with what your ears likes. You seem to like JBL so stick with it.

As stated earlier there is no best loudspeaker. Everyone hears things differently and every room is different. In fact the room plays the biggest role in a system. I have heard 1500 dollar systems sound far better than 3000 dollar systems all because of the room.
