Tripath to Display Latest in Class-T(R) Audio Amplifiers at Booth #21839 in LVCC South

Tripath Technology Inc. (Nasdaq:TRPH), creators of Class-T(R) advanced 1-bit digital audio amplifiers with Digital Power Processing (DPP(R)), will unveil new products and display the latest in highly-efficient audiophile-quality digital audio amplifiers at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, NV from January 6-9, 2005.

Tripath will be showing the broadest selection of digital amplifier products in the industry, including solutions for flat panel displays, automotive infotainment, and home theater. Major displays will include:

The TCD6001 and TPS4100, a complete digital-input solution for automotive head units. They provide the world's only 4x100-Watt amplifier suitable for demanding automotive environments. Tripath will also display the newest in high-power head units made by Tripath customers.

The TDA2125 and TDA2075 families of CMOS digital amplifiers will be available for listening tests. Based on a new technology, they substantially reduce the cost of digital amplifiers. Developed under the code name "Godzilla" they use CMOS silicon technology for functions previously requiring high-cost DMOS technology. Now supported in production, they will pave the way for mass-market adoption of Class-T(R) digital amplifiers. Stop by and listen to the industry's best value in digital amplifiers.

The TAA2008 is the newest in digital amplifiers for flat panel televisions. Delivering 2x9 Watts into 8 ohms at an industry leading efficiency of 89%, it can deliver up to 14 watts per channel all from an 8x8 QFN package. The TAA2008 offers a cost competitive way to implement Class-T(R) in a wide range of devices. The small footprint and high efficiency are suitable for portable applications as well as for mini-stereo systems. The mute and sleep modes also help further minimize power consumption. Robust protection circuits with automatic restart make the solution reliable. The TAA2008 also features the latest in click and pop reduction circuits and preserves the audiophile-quality sound that Class-T(R) is known for.

"In 2005, we will continue to expand our product offerings in audio amplifiers and communications as we look to new markets. We expect to solidify our leadership position in flat panel displays as well as expand our business in aftermarket and OEM automotive applications. We also are working hard at helping customers get to market with our new low cost CMOS drivers," said Dr. Adya Tripathi, Chairman, President, and CEO. "Along with our new products we will be displaying a wide range of exciting products from our key customers, visitors will be able to audition Class-T(R) products and hear for themselves why Class-T is gaining such popular support."
