Is this guy whacked, or what? First, here's a link to a piece by Jim DeRogatis in a Chicago paper:

Then there's all this stuff about Paul Westerberg, who says Adams should have his teeth kicked in...I guess they don't get along. The stories about Ryan Adams being a pain in the ass are nothing new. Remember when he got into it with an audience who was taunting him by requesting Bryan Adams songs? Oh, well. Here's the first piece I actually saw, from a Minneapolis newspaper. How about it, Rae? You know anything about this?

Well I'm not a Ryan Adams fan and am perplexed at the genius labels thrown in his general direction. But that's just a matter of taste so I'm not going to get worked up over the matter. What does surprise me more is the comments about The Stills. I can see a bad review based on a terrrible set at some venue. If the show stunk the joint up, the critic should note it, even hammer it home if he wants. What I find odd was the comment about the Stills being "unimpressive Adams clones". What? I'd be really curious to know how that comment surfaced because I've listened to the Stills CD twice today and it's not even in the same genre as Ryan Adams. Clones? Get serious. The Stills are probably more post punk than anything. A Canadian band-relocated to New York whose biggest influence sure sounds like the Cure to me. One track even sounds like it was ripped from New Order's, Get Ready making the comment look even more absurd to me.

Not that this has anything to do with anything, I just found it odd.

jc

You know your behavior leaves a lot to be desired when Paul Westerberg calls you out for your attitude.
