Is there a way to increase the watts on a sub?

Do you mean "can you increase the power handling capability of a passive sub?" If so, probably not. It's in the design spec when it was made.
Or do you mean "can you increase the power amplifier's power in a powered sub?" If so, the answer is "possibly, but not easily". The crossover and amp are designed as one unit and are manufactured as such. You could purchase a new unit and put it in the box where the old one was, but this opens up a whole 'nuther can o' worms to deal with.
Or do you mean something entirely different?

you answered it it was the second part I have a powered sub I just wanted tro increase to power....guess I'll have to wait ..and buy a new sub much later on we just got a new one my wife would kill me if I said time to buy a more powerful sub...
