Powering my mains

Not sure if everyone reads post from other boards here, so I posted a similar post in the Amp board. Sorry if I made anyone mad.

Since my mains are rated as such,
Impedance 4ohms
Frequency response 33Hz - 32Hz
Sensitivity 87 db
Power range 110-180 W.
Crossover frequency 33Hz -32Hz.

And my A/V NAD T753 is rated as such,
Power Output Stereo Mode 2 x 90W (19.5dBW)
IHF Dynamic Power 8 Ohms 2 x 150W (21.7dBW)
IHF Dynamic Power 4 Ohms 2 x 200W (23dBW)
IHF Dynamic Power 2 Ohms 2 x 225W (23.5dBW)


Is my A/V NAD T753 sufficient enough to handle these speakers?
Or, would you recomend i use my Rotel 2 ch amp for my mains (RB-870BX 100wpc)?

Your AV is a NAD right? If so it should be fine with those speakers. But if your Rotel is just sitting there doing nothing, I'd hook it up to the pre-outs of the NAD and run it with the front left and right speakers so you don't put as much stress on the NAD., cause all your speakers are 4 ohms.

Sorry! forgot to mention my A/V is a NAD T753. My Rotel is just laying around. By hooking up my rotel to my pre out on the NAD, this will make my amp more efficient for the other channels?

Yeah, since the NAD won't have to power the front two channels, you're not puting as much a load on the power supply, therefore all the other channels will be able to put out a little bit more power and it won't run as hot. As long as the Rotel is up for the 4 ohm speakers, this is the best way (IMO) to set up your HT.
