I have a yamaha htr-5460 but currently only have my audio from dvd,sat dish, vcr plugged into it. Should I use it for my video plugs or keep all video plugged into the tv as I have it now? I don't want to lose the quality of the picture which was why I hooked it to the tv but I'm getting tired of all the remotes! Will I lose any video quality by letting the yamaha take care of it? I would just rerun and try it but its almost impossible to get at my units just to play around...
Is the yamaha good enough to handle this...
thanks

Just let the Yamaha handle the video switching. The picture quality difference with S-video IMO is negligible, and if you're using several sources with limited inputs on the TV, then you're better served by letting the receiver direct all that traffic. If image quality is a concern, then do your own comparison. If you like the picture better plugged directly into the TV, then go with that. If you prefer the convenience of switching everything through the receiver, then go with that.
