any down side of running this reviever in this sized room ?
apart from getting some seiouse noise in the room , any real down sides?

Just bring volume control down ,dont see any down side.Pat .P

Receiver and room size? Room size has nothing to do with what receiver you buy. Most generaly you buy a receiver for the options and amplification. Now speakers have more to do with room size.

ok cool i just wasnt sure ,
my speakers are rated at only around 89db sensitivity so i thought i would go with the 2500 to give them a kick up the ass so to speak.
