I couldn't pass up a good price on 2 Def Tech Promonitor 100 speakers ($100 for 2). I know they will eventually find a home in one of my HT set-ups, but not exactly sure where. I think I might use them as surrounds for the time being, or maybe for a bedroom.

I just wanted to see if anyone here has any experience with them. I listened to the whole Def Tech line at my local retailer, but never did a bunch of research on them.

Thanks.

I used to own 4 of them along with the ProCenter and ProSub 100.

While I have moved on a long time ago to other brands (costing a bunch more money), I consider the DTs my first glimpse at what high-end sound could be like.

I think they make great entry level speakers that anyone looking at Bose and its ilk should defintely consider... I have a feeling after hearing the DTs, they will not look back.

In short they offered excellent bang for the buck. Good (although not great) highs, decent midrange performance, and very good bass for their size and price. In short, definitely recommended in their price range.

Thanks, Dave! I'm looking forward to testing them in my home- HT/Audio is interesting because there is always something more expensive and new out there- you just have to know your limits, haha!

Thanks again.
