Try the speaker building forums at:
1) www.partsexpress.com
2) www.madisound.com
These two sites are great for buying parts, my preference in that order...PE.com has a ton of articles, and resources, and the community on their forum is mega-helpful
Also try:
www.speakerbuilder.net
Wayne J's site has tons of good projects and info on it for beginners in particular, I recommend the PeeCreek project (similar to AR.com DIY's by Ed Frias)
then there's:
www.diyaudio.com
you can navigate to the speaker section, lots of brilliant, and "opinionated" people here.
From these you should find links to other places.
Anything in particular you're looking for?

Some great links were supplied by kexodusc, with DIYaudio being a great resource. I would also add AudioAsylum.com to the list. Specifically the High Efficiency forum and the people there.
Take your time...do a lot of listening, use either a proven design or a proven designers help...sand sand sand sand...and have fun!

heres a couple links that should help. the first is the link page from audiodiycentral.com, theres tons of links here. http://www.audiodiycentral.com/jpo-diy.shtml and the second is http://home1.stofanet.dk/troels.gravesen/ by Troels Gravesen who has done some extensive measurements on a few of his projects.
I'm in the process of building the proac 2.5 clone.
