I was reading an advertisment from my local audio dealer, when I noticed that paradigm has some new subwoofers coming out. They're called seismec subwoofers! Anybody heard of these? If so what are the specs ie... what size of woofers, power, and are they ported or not.

The Seismic subs are the two models on the left. They feature a downfiring 10" or 12" woofer, with two side facing passive radiators. So, they are technically sealed subwoofers. The amp is a 1,200 watt Class D design. I think that these subs are already out in Canada, but have not yet arrived in the U.S.

From what I heard, they're priced somewhere between the PW-2200 and Servo-15.

Wow, that's a bit of a price. But I bet they sound wicked!! Do they have grilles for the passive radiators? That looks awsome, it looks like it has three woofers!. Just out of curiosity, that one to the right looks like Paradigm too. What are the specs of that?...oh btw. Something I was wondering...Is Paradigm pronounced Par-a-dime? thanks :p

...it's "Par-uh-diggum"...hehe.

Sorry, but I couldn't resist - I remember being in an audio store back in the 80s when a over-zealous customer pronounced them that way. That was my first ever brush with the company... I knew WHATEVER the word was, it wasn't pronounced THAT way...lol.

Yes, it's "Par-a-dime".
