Hi everyone guess what my mom found a pioneer sx 50 in the junk and it still works like new isnt that awsome. Any way i was wondering how much it is worth and what time period is it from also how much power does it have per channel.

Are you sure that isn't an SX-550? Most of their tuners, receivers, and integrateds have their respective prefix (SX,TX) and a three digit number.

It is a pioneer sx-50 i looked on the back of the reciever and it even said sx-50. It also shuts off some times do you think that it would be worth getting fixed.

A google search revealed a link to a review by High Fidelity magazine in 1983. Another link referenced a guy who bought one in 1984 for $188.
It also shuts off some times do you think that it would be worth getting fixed.
Probably not. I can find far more information on my 70's low end TX-6200 tuner than I can for that receiver.

It was pointed out at AK that the original retail price was $375, not its current worth.
