well naturally I'm interested.. esp. in the Mark Lanegan Band feat/ Chris Goss of the Masters of Reality, producer Kyuss.. very curious to hear that. Plus, well hey I don't have the new Mojave 3 yet.. and Slosh has me all psyched to hear some Earlimart. well you know, yea.. please and thank you!

Glad you liked Piano One. Turned out really well. Quite a few of my all-time favorites are on there, plus a few songs that were totally new to me that I stole from some other comps from nice people here :)

That song is from their last album, but it's a good one. And tentoze stole my Giant Sand pick for my WIP year end comp ;) (I even posted that I was gonna use it a few weeks back).

Yeh it does- about a million of 'em have fled SoCal and taken up residence here, so I endure em every day. It's like a reverse migration. Or a biblical plague.

Edit- To steer this around in a different direction, NP: Jim White's most excellent Drill A Hole In The Substrate.....

Touché, you loveable nut! Say buddy, does Las Vegas really have money to burn like on that CSI show? No wonder everybody wants to move there!

It's worse than that, even. There's one of those reality things on Discovery (I think) called American Casino (I think)- the inner workings, supposedly, of Green Valley Ranch Station Casino- it's the one Michael Jackson fled into after returning to Vegas after being arraigned in Cali on the pedo charges. It's about 1/2 mile down the street from where I lived until recently- a classy joint, particularly for an off-strip property (the slots have been really TIGHT for me when I go there, the cheap bastids). One of the "local" casinos, meaning it's out in the burbs and caters to the local mullets. What they show on the couple of episodes that I've seen is a pretty good microcosm of the rest of the major casino industry. The amount of hard cash flowing through this town is hard to imagine, and fuels the absolute lack of reality that characterizes a very soulless environment. That's my sermon for the month.

NP: My new comp that I'm trying to resequence.
