Every time I try to search for something in this joint, I get stymied. For instance, I just rented John Hiatt's The Tiki Bar Is Open. I wanted to tell Chip about it & see if he's already heard it (Sonny Landreth on guitar!). But first, I want to make sure he hasn't posted about it already. So, I enter "The Tiki Bar Is Open" and hit Search. This comes back:

The search term you specified (The) is under the minimum word length (4) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.

If this term contains a wildcard, please make this term more specific.

Ohhhh kayyyyy, I'll try just "Tiki Bar Is Open."

The search term you specified (Bar) is under the minimum word length (4) and therefore will not be found. Please make this term longer.

What the fock? Apparently, this doesn't work quite the same as Google. Any explanations out there?

Thanks ad invance.

Oh, but the popup works just great, every time, Google bar or no.

Put the quotation marks around it like you show in your post and it'll be OK or just add audioreview to the front and use Google. If you use the latter method you'll find that skewiff posted it in his rotation back on May 13, 2003

And tentoze on Sep 3, 2003

I would think that "Tiki" is an adequately unique word. What's your problem?

Just kidding. I get stymied by that friggin' word-length issue myself.

Hehehe, actually had a gratis job interview lunch and it went pretty well. Turkey and stuffing and gravy and zucchini and a great new job offer that I accepted. Can't complain too loudly :)

Back to pretzels and beer and feedback-drenched Yo La Tengo today. Not that there's anything wrong with that.....
