I haven't heard this one yet, but have any of you? I've been thinking of checking it out. I've always been a great fan of his work with Rainbow, Sabbath and his first couple of solo albums. But I picked up Magica when it came out and I was really disappointed. Any thoughts?

My bet is it is weak weak weak. He hasn't put out a good record in a long long time.

Back when he was with Rainbow he was on fire!

I think Dio is fighting some inner demons (instead of the ones in his songs)...
He's lost his edge or something.
Tenacious D said it best:

"Dio has rocked for a long, long time,
Now it's time for him to pass the torch.
He has songs of wildebeests and angels,
He has soared on the wings of a demon.

It's time to pass the torch,
You're too old to rock, no more rockin' for you.
We're takin' you to a home,
But we will sing a song about you."

One of my favorites that he is on is Kerry Livgrens solo album "Seeds of Change".

Ronnie sang lead on 2 songs and they are killer.

Maybe Ritchie will get back into electric guitar and hire him to sing again.
