In what has to be one of the worst kept secrets in the music business, Big Star has officially signed to Rykodisc for their first new album since 1975’s Sister Lovers! Although no official release date has been set, the album is being completed at the legendary Ardent Studios in Memphis, the same studio where the original Big Star recordings were made. Big Star features founding members Alex Chilton and Jody Stephens, joined by Jon Auer and Ken Stringfellow of the Posies. Watch for more news on this forthcoming release!
