In the world of digital connections I understand there is optical (expensive cord w/ fiber optic center) and coax. Does coax basically have a connection that looks like small headphone connection? I am hooking up digital surround speakers to my audigy sound card and I think I found a coax cord in my closet. The plug fits into the sound card and the speaker pod...so should that work?
Thanks

A digital coax connector is just a standard RCA plug. Nothing like a headphone connector.

Think of it as a video cable as that is all it is.
