Read the 2-3 prior discussions of subwoofer connection and have a related question.

Installing a new, inexpensive HT setup in the home. This will be used almost exclusively for TV / movies, as we have another system for music.

Figured I would use the Receivers sub pre-out (a single RCA connection)

The sub, however has two such inputs, labeled left and right channel.

Can I run a cable to just one of these?

I fugured this would be OK, as the sub should amplify only a single (I presume mixed left plus right) channel.

Also have the possibility or running speaker wire from both channels to the sub (and then from the sub to the main speakers, allowing the sub to set frequency cut).

Prior comments suggest there is no real advantage to this.

Receiver fixed at 90Hz

Sub, variable from 50 to 150.

Thanks,

Mark

You should be fine with one input. If you need more volume try a Y adaptor it might help.
