Is this a good deal - Denon 2800MKII

I was shopping at a local Good Guys and they have an open box Denon 2800MKII with no remote for $299.99. The guy is willing to negotiate when I go down there, so if I can get it for say $275 out the door, is this a good deal?
I was looking at the Denon 2200 online and found it for $475 shipped, but I dont necessarily need SACD/DVD-A. I havent seen a whole lot of reviews on the 2800MKII, but the few I did said it's a really good player.
Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated.

great video, may have some trouble on dvd-r and dvd+r discs...make sure you can get a remote, however!

I'll mainly watch it for dvd movies, but my friend is recording a bunch of shows on dvd-r+/- media, which I would like to see along with playing mp3's. Is there anything in specific that goes wrong when these type of media is played?
I also emailed Denon and they sent me some links on stores that have remotes and found one for $34.99. Of course shipping is probably about the same price :mad:
