hi guys
I just bought a yamaha rx v 450 ( 85W X 6 and 192kHz/24-Bit DAC for All Channels). planing to get b&w 603 with lcr 600 and some sub and soround. is this a good combo. someone said that the yamaha is not powerfull enough. please advice as i am really confused. thanks a ton

well they list the 603's on the website as handling 25-125 watts, and obviously your receiver falls in that range. I think you could get away with it, it might struggle a little when all 6 speakers are looking for a lot of power, but that doesn't happen very often. So basically it would be nice to have a little more but I think it would be ok. You could always buy an amp to give them a little more power if you think there lacking after listening to them for a while. But I would go ahead and try it see how it sounds to you if you feel you want more power then go for it but if your happy with what you have then theres no reason to change. Rember doubling the power will only increase the db by 2 so it wouldn't be an overwhelming change, only in a few unique movies or cds
