Loans for bad credit?

I've checked to see if we have any credit unions in my area, but there aren't any. I made some very poor decisions in my past with regards to my history, but I'm now older and living on my own, and I'm way more in control of my finances. I'm ideally just looking for a loan that will just cover me until payday, as I've recently started a new job and sort of need to eat.
