Connecting any additional device will require a video card. This is the only way your computer can "see" the printer. You can use DriverPack to find the driver you need. DriverPack has a large library of drivers. And here I found Asus laptop drivers https://driverpack.io/en/laptops/asus and connected the printer to my laptop without problems.
