hi
can someone tell me if it is better to have the center and the front speakers from the same company or is it good to have the best speaker avaliable for each type (a different center and a different fron).

also whch is the best place to put the center with a projector. since the projector will come down from the celling. the center speaker will get low next to the ground. how can i fix that

it should be the same company becuase they match up spec wise better, and the sound blends together.

you projector question now, alot of people of there centre low and just tilt them up a bit maybe a 10 degree angle or so, supposely it sounds great.

If you plan to use a projector and the screen does not go too far down to floor level, then your best bet is to use three identical speakers up front. With that setup, you get the best possible tonal match between the three speakers, idential dispersion patterns, and the most seamless front panning effect possible. With home theater, the goal is to get as close a voice match all the way around as possible between the different speakers. Going with "the best" center speaker is hardly ideal if its voice characteristics are significantly different from the L/R mains. The only reason to go with a horizontal center speaker is because the TV typically sits exactly where a middle speaker would ideally go, so it's a compromise by necessity. If the screen does go close to the floor, then you should get the matching center speaker along with a center speaker stand and try tilting it up. It won't sound nearly as good as three identical speakers, but that's the choice you make if you want to maximize your screen area.
