Getting 5 speakers and a sub of any quality for that price is difficult unless you have an uncle in the business or one falls off of a truck.

Consider that at least the front three speakers should be of the same voice. That's called "timbre matching" aid assures that sounds traveling across the front soundstage sound the same as they traverse the screen.

If it's use is intended mainly for HT, then the importance of having the rears match the front is less critical than it would be for music, although it's still recommended.

If you want to use this for music as well as HT, I'd strongly suggest that the surrounds also be of the same voice. That's because HT usually reserves the surrounds only for occasional ambiance clues and a gunshot or two while music can pan any sound to any channels at any time.

A sub is a sub. It need not be a "match" for the other speakers and as such, is less critical in the overall mix.

If I were you, I'd consider forgoing the subwoofer for now and work on getting at least the front three to match. Then go for the surrounds. Preferably fairly soon so a match to the fronts can be found.

You can always add a sub in the future. Blending these in with the other soeakers is not much of an issue as they generally come with a sutiable range of adjustments to accomodate virtually any speakers.

If this is agreeable to you, then say so. I'm sure some more options will be made available to you.

I would rather not give up the subwoofer how ever i am sure that i can find either pioner main speakers or sony speakers to replace each other since they are all around the same price.

After looking real qucik i came up with these sonys for 100$ Circuit city (http://www.circuitcity.com/detail.jsp?c=1&b=g&u=c&catoid=-8023&qp=03219&oid=70186&m=0)

Also on a side note i just found the Velodyne vx10 and it seems like a good subwoofer for the price any thoughts comments on the velodyne?
