View Full Version : Designing my stereo cabinet....

I can't find anywhere a stereo cabinet that matches the Danish mid-century modern furniture of my place so I want to have a cabinet/shelf system built in that style to have it fit in with the rest of my living room furniture. So here's my question: the system I have right now is pretty modest (listed below). I'm new to the world of stereo components, just started with it a few months ago, and I'm wondering if people have suggestions for what I might want to add now or in the future. I want to try my best to account for what I might end up purchasing so that I can have the proper number of shelves/spaces for it in the cabinet.

Here's what I've got so far:

Jolida hybrid tube amp/preamp
Sansui TU-919 tuner
Sherwood Newcastle CD player
(I use Paradigm Studio Ref 60 v3 speakers)

So... any thoughts on how I might eventually be building up my system? Another amp or amp/preamp? A separate preamp? Any other pieces that maybe I haven't even really contemplated?

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
