Micromega Stage 2 CD fault

My Micromega Stage 2 CD player just stopped reading disks, I had been playing music for an hour or so with no problems , then on inserting a different cd it refused to read it (just getting error display), I have tried several disks (all working fine previously) with the same result. Is there a way of narrowing down the fault to motor, laser etc.. Also anybody know of a Micromega dealership in the UK, just in case!

How long have you had this CD player?
Early Micromegas had serious problems with their transports, hope this is not your case.
